SamH
Try search Riparium, it seems to be quite popular in the states. They're like paludariums but less permanent. The also use floating rafts and suction cup baskets to keep the roots in the water and the rest out. HTH
N1CK
what do you mean by suggestions... plants? how to set it up? fish?..... if you were planning on doing a tropical one you could go with crypts, mosses, java fern, anubias, and some stem plants If you wanted it for something like a frog/newt setup you could get mosses, maybe java fern, pond plants and those baby house plants that you get at palmers, setting it up depends on how you want to do it, e.g if you wanted a larger body of water you could get some egg crate and PVC tubing cut it to the size/shape you want them stick plastic/pond liner or something over top to create the land area, or create two entirely separate areas. jim r
Advice on which marginal plants (background) best suited to a tropical set up is what I am after.
phoenix44
orchids and peace lillies do really really well. the colour and the shape of the peace lilly leaf would look amazing in any tank like that.
cesarz
I have miniature marginal orchids and epiphyte orchids if you want some. I would also recommend miniature bromeliads of the Tillandsia family. Also small leaf pelleas will be good as marginals. Miniature peace lilies(Spathiphyllum), small ferns, carnivorous plants, miniature trailing african violets( I have some), mini hosta, and anything that can take high humidity. Guest
you should do a NZ native one with mosses and ferns on the land part and the have a koura or something in the water. That'd look pretty cool and you could do it in a fairly small tank
