Nymox
Hey I got a pack of these today and Im just wondering how closey I need to stick to the instructions, they are ideal for my ugf tanks as I can pop one down the tube. Im just wondering about the AR380, would it be ok to lightly bury 1 around the roots?, failing that stick it in with the noodles? I got some nice plants today so I wanna give them a great start, I wanted to get some flourish too but there was 2 kinds, excel and another one, I wasnt sure which was best so I left it till tomorrow after some quality advice from the guru's There was also a suprise with one of my plants, Ill get a pic of it tomorrow if the camera can pic up something so small, suprised it survived in a bag with only a lil water that came off the plants. I think I know what it is.... EDIT: Whoops one more thing I forgot to ask, at the moment I have my lights on 8am to 8pm, is that alright for aquatic plants? and alright for the fish? too much? too little? At the moment I want max growth. Thanks people
supasi
Sorry cant help with the tablets as I have never seen them before. Lights dont really matter to the fish unless you have shy fish like discus or catfish that stay hidden in bright light. I would cut the lighting back to ten hours until the plants become established. Excel is the one that is "liquid co2 for plants" if you want to call it that.

Nymox
I havnt been able to get a pic of the lil fishy that came with my plants, its just too small for mum camera, but it looks very much like one of these only darker reddish brown. Its tiny though would fit on my thumbnail. I only found it when i was seperating the plants I could feel something moving in between my fingers, i strait away dropped my hand in the closest tank and have only seen in twice since. supasi
Sweet. A red whiptail. The sell at Animates for about $30-$40. Did it look like this? Where did you get the plants from?
phoenix44
That does not look like a red whiptail to me The red ones retail for about 60 bucks but are plain brick coloured. No patterns or anything like yours have. The royals are about 37 bucks or so. both of yours look reddish but have patterns which the reds I have seen don't have
Nymox
Well thats not a pic of mine, mines tiny and I couldnt get the camera to focus on it. And its more red then yours supasi but maybe because hes so tiny I cant see any pattern. Be watching him with intrest though they look neat. There should be plenty of algae for him in the tank hes in, hope he survives and grows well.

Was just trying to find a pic of a red whiptail, and the monitor on the computer I was using is useless and I couldnt see the patterning on the fish. Nymox
Well this is my first suprise from else where, Im gunna need to shed some excess corys ones he gets bigger though, and once they get bigger, I must have something catfishy about me, all those cory spawns I thought we're just getting munched seem to have given me some offspring. Whats a lancelot whiptail? There are those other skinny long fish too that are apparently some times mistaken for whiptails. Ive been looking for a pic that looks more like what he does but when you dont know what your searching for its kinda difficult.
