LYNDYLOO
Thinking of adding a BGK to my Fish Collection. Wanting to know are they Aggressive?? Have done abit of research on this, some reports I have read, say they are Agressive and others say, they have had them in with Neons and Guppys and they've had no problems with them at all. I'm guessing maybe it's down to the Temperament of the Fish itself.
R32GOTMLK
my 28 cm one eats neons form time to time but other than that is very timid
phoenix44
naah. not agressive. i had some with my tetras even. i used to handfeed mine. awesome fish. very playful. they can eat smaller fish like neons if you don't keep em fat and all. bronze-dragon
ours lives with our big school of x-ray tetras, most of our bettas, platy's and a red spot pleco without a problem. maybe its to do with the size you get them at? buying a small BGK may mean he gets used to them and sees them more of a tank mate than food? that was the game plan we went with anyways, Squiggly (his name) is only a little longer than my index finger. LYNDYLOO
You might just be right there If he cant fit a Neon in his mouth when he is Small, he will probably grow up thinking he cant do it anyway, so why bother

David R
Aggressive? No. Predatory? Yes. There's quite a difference...
Fmxmatt
Mines not agressive, but can decimate a shoal of 20 neons in about 10 days, at night, leaving no trace whatsoever. Mine is mates with a large spotty plec, they share the same cave
Zev
Nothing like a nocturnal predatory fish vacuuming up sleeping morsels!
Foxjxa
Apparently they pluck out eyes if they're feeling nutty. But I'd agree with what others have said, they shouldn't be aggressive if you get one young/small enough and raise it with your fishies. Just keep it fat. Constantly obese. <
bronze-dragon
Apparently they pluck out eyes if they're feeling nutty. sounds like our bettas our BGK "Squigley from Quigley" has become much more active and is out and about looking weird and wonderful
