Adrienne
I've been asked a question and have no idea. Will the above co-exist in a well planted tank Thanks
Dixon1990
Should do if bettas can live happily in around 18-20 degrees. It would be just like keeping bettas with guppys minus the long tailsthat look like betta food  Although the male leopardfish may try breed with the betta
Adrienne
thanks - I was hoping you might answer as I know you have or have had leopard fish.

Have, lost heaps in a filter failure, trying to build them up to a decent amount again
Caryl
If indeed you do mean the P. caudomaculatus leopardfish then I would not put them together. Leopardfish are cold water species and the Bettas are tropical.

Caryl
No idea. I would also be concerned about a long finned betta not getting enough food before the faster, short finned leopards got to it.
dreams
I think the general consensus is that betta's prefer warmer waters. :bounce:
darkfur
the baby leopards will definitely get eaten as soon as they are born they are not very compatible tank conditions-wise leopard = cool, fast moving water (27 degrees at a very maximum but preferably more like 20 degrees) pH neutral to 8 betta = warm and gentle current pH slightly acid although leopards are pretty adaptable
