Vinnie
Now I was thinking of getting some silver sharks to add to one of my tanks, problem is I would have to give them the best conditions to grow them before adding them to that tank. I can only find small one's at the pet shops at the moment and I need to get them to 10 - 14cm before I can add them to the tank I want them for. - So I'm going to setup a 3 foot tank just for 4 - 6 silver sharks. now other than lots of food and 50% weekly water changes is there anything else I can do to speed up there growth? R32GOTMLK
it took mine about 7 months to grow that size form the shop when they were about 8cm

ryanjury
The usual stories for growing out fish do large daily water changes and pile in a large variety of quality food Lots of food means lots of good stuff to grow, and lots of water changes means that any waste (From the heavy feeding etc) doesn't build up and slow down their growth.. Vinnie
Looks like the lfs has a few big ones coming in soon so i might not need to grow some... but might get some silver dollars again and grow them instead to add to the tank with every thing else... I'm going to need an 8 foot tank soon lol. Sadly but in a good way I don't have money for one at the moment... paying for a wedding then the 8 (or 10 if i'm lucky) foot and house come next... I hope
Cricketman
they are the idiots of the fish world. IMO anyway... mine drowned in some loose java moss... and marks freak out and smack into the side of the tank whenever the light is turned on. make sure you have a vary good lid onthe tank, as you probably know already anyway, but to be sure,to be sure....
