axolotl-danio
I brought a blind cave tetra a few months ago with the intention of getting a few more later on. In the time I have had mine it has taken a few bites out of some of the other fish . Should I sell it or would buying a few more stop the nipping because they would concentrate more on their own school? Thanks

axolotl-danio
Why do all the cool looking fish have to be so problematic?
phoenix44
it is the price they have to pay  they are a horrible fish. maybe sell it or give it away to someone with big fish
axolotl-danio
I think I would rather keep it and just put up with the occasional nip. It has not been that bad.
MarkLB
I like mine I have had three of them in a 4 foot/200 litre for around two years. They're always active and don't bother their tankmates at all. Maybe I have the only well behaved ones? 8)
axolotl-danio
I don't know for sure but maybe it is because they spread out their aggression within their own school instead of nipping the other tank mates. I know that is how it works for some fish.

axolotl-danio
So if I really wanted to keep it it would be best to keep just the one?

MarkLB
What kind of fish are being nipped? I think it might be a case of choosing the right tankmates for it. My Blind Cave Tetras don't have any tankmates that have long fins, and the tanks not at all crowded so the Blind Caves never bump into another fish to get the opportunity to nip.
