livebearer_breeder Posted September 29, 2004 Report Share Posted September 29, 2004 ive finaly done it! i have finnaly got my guppy strain perfect from what i can see so far, the females now match my males!!!!!!! of which are red!! these females are now have half there body's red!!! so i have finaly got the right colour!!!!! all i used ot have was gold tails and now these females have half there bodies red!!! Alan Posted September 30, 2004 Report Share Posted September 30, 2004 A lot of animals depend on the temperatures during pregnancy and incubation for the ratio of the sexes. livebearer_breeder Posted October 29, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2004 have done what you said alan, at lower temp between 18c-22c i got mostly females, and at the 24c-26c i got a relitivley equal ammount of males to females give or take a few.
