jc360
hey im using twin 54watt t5 18000k power Glos with a highly polished reflector. Question is and i know its been discussed but some direct communication here would be great! Is this too much light for my tank? it is 700mm high. Would this amount of light be the cause of sword leaves turning brown?

suphew
Growing plants is all about balance, you can only have too much light if you have too little of either nutrients (which is very unlikely) or CO2. The kelvin rating of your lights is a bit higher than you would normally use in a planted tank, they are more marine, they will have a very blue/white look compared to the yellower look you would normally have in a fresh water tank.
