Give it a few years and it will get cheaper... also and off shoot of affordable LED fluoros means that traditional tube technology will also get cheaper. Warren Posted March 8, 2009 Report Share Posted March 8, 2009 The article states the tube has been designed for the likes of tunnels etc - in other words, difficult, high labour cost areas to service. Replacement once every 4 years would save a lot of money in this situation as the labour cost for 3 replacements would likely outway cheaper tubes.
