I forgot what the blue ones are called

hehe

Some of my babies have blue on them so heres hoping

I think i got a slight ammonia problem again dunno why my tank is spotless

this is in my community tank just checking the water now

lost my ammonia chart somewhere ( i loose everything) lol so i will have to use the small one on side of box

ANyway if i have it will be little feeding and water changes again

All the other tests for the other tanks were yellow this one seems light green

I HATE THOSE KITS they are so hard to read lol

Hope you enjoyed your xmas buddy

ooo bet you cant wait to get your big tank up and running

I cycled mine for a month and the other one just 2 weeks all worked out ok hehe

Its better that the wood has come from the sea than a lake as its likely to be cleaner. Either way it pays to wash it thoroughly (waterblast if its big enough) or boil it to make sure all the nasties are out of it.

I get my driftwood from the mouth of the Hokitika river. It washes down the river then gets stuck in the sand where it gets washed by the sea. The wood doesn't absorb salt so as long as you give it a good rinse before adding it to the tank it will be fine.

Driftwood from the sea that has absorbed salt etc is best because the salt should have killed any freshwater weeds or bugs that may take over your tank and might kill your fish..

Soak the wood for a while if your really concerned but I just hose it and chuck it in, a little salt wont hurt guppies at all.

Blue guppies that I have are neon blue tuxedo but I think there are different strains around as well, nice fish that's for sure and growing real fast on decap etc :)

hahha really!!!

i guess i can chuck my littler piece of drift wood in then

, i have a big one thats real twisted and awsome

maybe i should keep it soaking for a lil bit more

it might have too much salt in it ?

is that decapulated brine shrimp eggs any good?

its expensive

i didnt really get that many , because i only needed a few for my

new fish tank , which i am going to maybe use the big one i got

i am going again tommorow maybe but definatly tuesday
