Neon
Hi The x-ray tetras in my community tank have been spawning lately ( well I think it's spawning behavior anyway). My cherry barbs follow them closely so I don't think any eggs will survive. I'm thinking of setting up a separate tank to try and get some fry. Does anyone have any hints or past experience with breeding x-ray tetras? Cheers, Sarah
TM
Have a look here viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36497 They would breed/spawn the same way. Hope that helps.
caserole
Yes TM, but I would add that x ray's eggs are light sensitive and the tank needs to be blacked out from the time the adults are put in until the fry are free swimming. Adults get removed after they have spawned = next morning late.
