newfisher
Does anyone have a Sunsun tank and are they any good? They seem awfully cheap.
oeminx
I have one i am very happy with it, its a tank it holds water. only two problems I have with them - the filtration is not the best. - the wiring in the hood and the power sockets on the side of the hood. smidey
i have had one for over two years & would buy another tomorrow if i was in the market for another tank. The hoods are aluminium rather than plastic & i have not had any trouble with anything on it. They also have slots in the hood for canister piping. The filtration is OK but not brilliant, I run a CF1000 & the hood filter & the water is so clear it looks like the fish are floating in air. The cabinets are foil wrapped panels so are more water resistant than cabinets with PVC edge clashings. My cabinet still looks today like it did when i got it, i also have a aquaone setup that has the PVC clashed edges which have almost all swollen & it looks really tatty. They are certainly the best in their value range & I think they are better than aqua one units which cost alot more. The cost of them is low due to them being imported direct by the person selling on TM them rather than being sold through suppliers & pet stores. Stu :)
I have a Sunsun tank too and think it's a great tank. I'm using the built in filter but the bio load is very light at the moment. I also like the power extension board built into the hood, great if you can pick up a dodgy imported heater with a Chinese plug on it. bedazzled
I have the 200 litre Sunsun tank and I love it The 2 tanks I had previously were both aqua one and I actually agree with smidey that the sunsun are better value for money. I only run the standard filter and my tank is not lightly stocked, not overstocked either though lol and I have had no problems. I also found the seller fantastic to deal with, very very thorough in going through all the bits and pieces for the tank. I am sure you will not regret purchasing one
