firenzenz
Was reading the "Stress" post and up popped the "Serenity" poem which is IMO sick making, particularly if you were brought up in the 70's like me where the world was full of: hand crafted pottery, Macrame, Holly Hobby, Jonathon livingston seagull, and a raft of hand stitched wall mounts with such sayings. My Grans was: "It's nice to be important- But it's far more important to be nice! Any other Pearls of Wisdom out there?

Stella
Dad always says "life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it". THANK YOU! I have been trying to remember that one the last few days :-) "Man does not cease to play because he grows old, Man grows old because he ceases to play." (forgive oldfashioned gender stuff, tis an old quote) And the best, from 'Who Moved My Cheese?' "What would you do if you were not afraid?" museeumchick
Dad always says "life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it". I heard a different version of this (well its similar) "life is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration"
farmchick
Watch whose feet you stand on today for they may well be connected to the legs supporting the ass you will need to kiss tomorrow" My first boss told me that.
