Guest
Hi guys, When I breed my fighters I put a lid in for him to build the bubble nest under but they seem to prefer to make their nest under the plants so..... I was wondering what a good plant is for them to make a bubble nest under? I wanted one that had long stems with sort of lilli pad leaves on them also I want it to be fairly fast growing. Is there a plant that I could use?
phoenix44
val. the normal kind (not spiral). I know its a no-no at the moment but if its long it forms a beautiful canopy at the top of the tank and he can use that.

Dave+Amy
but big tiger lotus are expensive...some species of apono's grow to form a canopy (long stems with large thick leaves). I have currently some growing but not large enough in my Discus tank.

Aponogetons are far more expensive than tiger lotus I've found. My flatmate's got some large canopy ones in his tank. They do look awesome.
