Spink
Just wondered how many people keep their Leopard Fish outdoors? I have 2 in a tank indoors, but thought I might like to put them outside in the pond with my mountain minnows and goldfish. Would they be ok? I have a fountain pump to keep the pond clean and the surface agitated so it doesn't ice over in Winter, but seen as it's warming up I thought now might be a good time. Any ideas? Heir
Generally leopard fish are aggressive, particulary when they are in large numbers, despite their small size. Just be warned as goldfish are easy targets, especially if they are the slower fancy breeds. Otherwise just shove them outside all year round as after winter theres usually enough left to start the population explosion for summer. Ive never seen aggression in the females towards other fish i have tried with them, its the males, They try to breed with everything and anything they cant breed with they will chase nonstopp
Spink
Cool, I might take mine out and slowly acclimatise them to the cooler waters, and see how they go. I think I need a few more females to add to the group - I initially bought 3 girls and a guy, but lost 2 girls recently. Right, well that solves that problem! Thanx! :bounce:
