Guest
Hi guys, I've recently got a new female fighter. She's a long finned and is blue, with green and orange and a few other colours that change in the light. A pic of her: I want to breed her with my F1 red male and was wondering what colours I'll get? Heres a few pics of him: They're about the same size and he's about 5 months old. His fins a still growing out (it appears like they're growin longer daily). I'm just waiting until I get some space and the female to fill with egss then I'll breed them. Whats a good size for them to be when I breed them? Aaron-Betta
colours like blue, purple and red with bits of green through most of them. Probably a lot of dark bodies, with mixed coloured fins.
Guest
Swet so lots of different colours. The male has a reddy body but the photo doesn't really show it and the female has a bluey body. Will you get cambodians as well? I may breed that male with another F1 female but I'm not sure as I don't want to be stuck with lots of fighters like I am now again.
Aaron-Betta
depends on where the fish came from (their genetic history) Red is a pretty dominant gene.
Guest
Yeah I found that when breeding the F1s parents. He was pure red and she was striped body with blue and red but their babies were all red with flecks of blue in them (thats why I want different colours.) I just thought blue and red were dominent colours so they would be more mixture than a red one with weak colour genes (then I'd be stuck with more reds  )
Adrienne
colours like blue, purple and red with bits of green through most of them. Probably a lot of dark bodies, with mixed coloured fins. I agree and also will probably throw more comb tails. Nice fish but are you certain a female? Guest
Yeah thats what I've been worried about but since I've had it it's fattened up and has an egg spot so I'm 99% sure it is.
