Loopy
You are in a very fish friendly part of the country! Welcome to the forums! There is a club in Chch which has monthly meetings where you can let out all your pent up fishy excitement. (well there are 2 clubs in Chch but i have to show where my loyalty lies:wink: ) We have outtings and are possibly looking at having a fish themed garage sale next meeting. Anyone is welcome to come along and new members are always a pleasure to meet! Tis a good place to talk about your fish without friends or family contemplating locking you up for being obsessed with fish. This is what we got up to last meeting HERE Keep an eye out for details of our next meeting.

angel obsessed
multiple tank sydrome... well i did have 3 running at one stage including quite a massive 200litre in the lounge, but man the power bill was huge!!! I do have 3 at the moment though, the biggest being about 30gallons. Yeh I never used to like angel fish, but as soon as the two i got started to lay I got a bit obsessed. I finally have a succesful batch of fry that are about 2 1/2 months old. 22 in all. They are sooo cute!!! I think Id be keen to check out a meeting? Never heard of those before, how exciting lol. Where abouts in chch are they held?

Loopy
the Club meetings are hosted at a different members home each month to keep fees down (no hall hire costs) and to encourage and meet new people and see their tanks. Usually someone will put their hand up to host. We all bring a plate for a pot luck tea and have a very relaxed and social evening. lots of talk of fish and a bit of off topic chatter too Congrats on your angel breeding success! I have a bit of a fetish for angels myself so i can understand your enthusiasm for them. They are really wonderful to keep.
angel obsessed
oh thats great!!! And yes I do like Angels lol. My tanks arent that fabulous though, only a small one in the lounge with 4 of my 'favourite' babies, the non decorated one in the spare room with my fry grow ups, and a non decorated one in another room with my breeders.. Im getting bored again I want something new. The pharmisist that I work next to actually told me if he could have the huge glass offcuts that my boss is trying to GIVE AWAY then he would make me a tank because thats what he does in his spare time!!! IM SO EXCITED. So I really want to get some 'wierd and wonderful' fish for that!!!
grimmy
Gid Day all ,used to be obseesed with fish thought I,d got over it and would keep birds instead now I,ve got 2 tanks going 1, 4foot and 1 ,2ft 6inches the wife has decided I,m selfish so she wants the smaller one for her self good on her it means I,ve got an excuse to get what I,ve always wanted DISCUS so got my first two last weekend ,so now I,m after another pair if poss ,Red melons are rarely nice, and there,ll be no but they only cost so and so, us guys always have a few secret dollars stached away just a matter of finding a good supplier at reasonable cost anyone got some ideas about who to deal with and who ships with the least damage PAUL
