enzoom1
Hey, I'm clearing out a 6 gallon tank (Aqua One AR-126) and I was hoping to house killies in it. Any recommendations about stocking the tank (what type of killies for a beginner at killie keeping and how many), how the tank should look (plants, substrate and decorations) and what the water conditions should be for them would be much accepted. Thanks all, Enzo

enzoom1
Well if i could breed in a 6 gallon tank that would be good or if it is too small I would be happy having one or two nice looking Killies in it
alanmin4304
If you bred in that tank would you have other tanks to rear the fry? Might be a good excuse to get more tanks.
enzoom1
haha I was just reading an article that said something like when your killifish spawn you remove the eggs and store for around three months and then rehydrate them and you will have fry hatched and swimming in 24 hours. Is that how the pro's do it?
Barrie
some are water incubated and take 10 to 14 days to hatch Just depends on what you want to get Best idea is to see what you want and then we can help more The peat spawners in general are the fish your refering to
