Awwwwwwww I would much prefer that to be alive :o

A local butcher here has a heap of different large deer and buffalo etc heads on his wall and I just can't bear to go in there..... Seeing the look in their eyes (even tho they are falseys) just give me such a heavy feeling of dread... beautiful animals who's head so don't belong on the wall :(

Awesome! Have a nice wee 'mask-man' here that I picked up in Cape Town if you want. Have had it packed up for yonks and just found it again yesterday.

Nothing flash, but apparently tribally made and I had problems getting it thru customs in Joho.

May make a nice addition to your other features?

Would be nice to know that it's being veiwed

That head is an asiatic water buffalo and you CAN get them here.

I am a partner in the first commerical water buffalo farm etablished in NZ.

The calfs are available and for much less than the price you are quoting.

Older animals are some times available.

There is however a wait list

They are much more placid that highland cattle, have a higher kill weight sooner and the hide is superb.

Taste nice to.

i was involved with shipping the water buffs and camels to that wildlife park in west auckland a few years ago

worked for ashtons circus in aus, trained them to be more handleable for shipping,

i breed mini highlands unrelated to any other stock imported into nz

closed gene pool for last 14yrs

nice to know there are other people interested in exotic breeds on here

Camels are not my fav.

most of that family look me in eye an spit...lol

Some say they are good judges of character but I disagree....lol

Have had buffs here for about 15 years now...I think..lol

Imported from NT and Asia.

Some of teh Northlan ones are Italian.

There are about 20 sub spieces from memory.

Some meat, some beasts of burden, and some milk animals.

Must of been hard work LA to get them used to travel etc, tho they tend to be placid unless young at foot.

pretty laid back animal

worked with 2-3 yr olds

camels are good trained when young

we sent a bull camel over and had to teach it to sit on command - camels can kick out with all four legs in any direction, a painful lesson learnt more than once :o

really love the buffs, mind you though i have always gotten on with most animals

except a brahman bull who dragged me a 100metres while i was hanging onto his nose ring

Chamios must go close to 10 inches does it?

I have to say I am good with most animlas as well..lol

I do live in a minagery so that helps...lol

I look forward to meeting you face to face LA.

Would love to look round the park one day as well.
