tinytawnykitten
One of my peacocks looks a little like it might have a sort of slimy, clearish milky coating on it. Any clues what it could be?
MarkLB
Is the fish behaving differently? i.e. darting, gasping at the surface? Whats your pH? I Googled and apparently low pH or a rapid change in pH can cause excessive mucous production.
tinytawnykitten
No, they have been flashing a bit. I treated the tank yesterday with TLC.
ryanjury
As Mark said its probably excess slime triggered by something if the fish is ok it should just clear up but a water change and some salt wont hurt.. How many fish do you have in your tank is there any serious aggression yet? and what size is it filtration etc? You have posted a few concerns lately maybe somethings going on.. Or it could just be nothing but would hate for disaster to be brewing..

Afrikan
Roughly.... 1 tablespoon per 20 litres, think that 5 gallons is slightly less than 20 litres, great converters online 8)
