reef
Here is a photo of a mushroom rock covered in hair algae, It amazes me how after a few days it will be totally cleared by the tangs who just love it as a treat. Most tangs wont eat hair algae if your tank is covered in it, but as a treat they seems to go crazy on it,
perren
If most tangs wont eat hair alage then what fish is the best to get that will eat hair alage. I have a redsea max no hair alage over my rock just on the back glass panel.
reef
Tangs might eat it if you dont have much. If you have it on the back panel then brush it off.

THANKS PERREN Yes and no - grab as much out as you can when you scrape it off, and then collect the rest as it gets stuck on your intake grill / black foam. Make sure you don't let it block up too much, or your RSM's circulation pumps will start blowing bubbles
reef
Mix up some saltwater turn all the pumps off . brush the algae off the rocks etc. then let it settle and suck it out with a hose. then put in some new water and start pumps.
