Stella
someone was threatening a tank crawl up to palmy on my thread about my new riffle tank. Maybe someone should raise it at the meeting?
Foxglove
OOh I'm 'someone' now!  Yep, Stella I certainly will be raising the idea - it was actually mooted a few meetings ago. We have a few members who like and/or keep natives. Cheers for the reminder.

Whats a tank crawl? Also I think I'm going to the meeting so I hope to see you all there :bounce: :bounce: . Also does anyone know the adress of the meeting place? Foxglove
Hi Cam, a tank crawl is like a pub crawl  except you go from one tank to another, visiting different people and seeing their tanks and fish. Great fun! The Doris Mills Lounge is part of the Community Centre - there is a small loop parking area on the left of Linden Ave, as you go from the Main Tawa/Porirua Road. It is before the railway tracks. See you there!
Stella
Hi Someone ;P Sorry, be thankful I can remember anything these days, I seem to be so busy I can barely think a day ahead! And it is so much easier once I have a face to apply to the name. If the natives people (and others!) are specifically keen to come up and see my tanks, see if you can work out a date and let me know (NOT within the next four weeks....). Then I will start getting other palmy people interested and work out an itinerary for this end. Presumably also there would be other stops along the way. lmsmith
So...what happens at a club meeting? I'd like to go, and come and meet some of you guys in person - I'm really keen to come to the next one. Can someone tell me what to expect? peanuts
Meeting Time and Location for the Kapi Mana club Although we do our best to inform everyone of changes, here is all the information you need: Day: Last Wednesday of every month. Time: 7:45 pm meet with meeting starting at 8:00pm Location: Doris Mills Lounge, Linden Community Centre, Linden Avenue, Linden, Tawa. Our last meeting was last night so the next one is Wednesday 24 September and this meeting will be held at the Hutt Pet Centre in Pretoria Street Lower Hutt - same start time and this will be a quiz evening. We welcome ALL - those that want to just visit and of course those that stay and join. These meetings are a chance for people interested in keeping fish to meet and share and exchange information that they have found helpful and may benefit others. the Kapi Mana club is also organising a "Livebearers Show" which is to be held in the Scout hall in Wainuiomata at Labour Weekend. hope this helps if not give me a "pm" and we can discuss some more Cheers Karen
