Adrienne
lol - I must be a bit slow, got home from work tonight and the baby bns i had found last night were out and about round the tank so I lifted up the wood... and found another lot about 1/2 the size. Then I found a batch of golden albinos as well. As my sons gf said ' well at least your tanks will be clean'
Adrienne
actually i have a question too - i have an external filter running in the tanks, its at the other end of the tank 120cm away from the wood and bn. whats the chances that they will end up in the filter - do i need to put mesh over it. Dixon1990
Are there Adult goldens and normals in the tank?
Adrienne
no I have them in different tanks, each tank has either golden albino or normal brown bns in them but none have mixed colours. hasn't stopped some of the brown babies turning out golden though. peanuts
take all precautions with filters - I have found my bristle fry living in the hoses of external filters even with the strainers that come with them.
antwan
Yea I agree, mesh it up. I found my first lot of bn fry while cleaning out my external, not sure how many would've died going through it.
Adrienne
got home tonight and had to dismantle my filter - 6 happy within the hose and another 6 in the bottom of the external and 1 had made it right up to the filter wool now there mesh around it.
