kiwinana1956
I have a 3 foot tank can I put 3 paired up pairs of angelfish into this tank to breed? Will need to use dividers to separate each pair? IF that is a yes how do I or what do I put between the pairs so they cannot see each other, but the water etc can still flow through? ryanjury
I would say no to the 3 in a 3ft tank without dividers.. You can put dividers in and not have them giong to the bottom of the tank or just seal them in and have a heater in the middle with some airstones by the divisions to create water flow and heat the outside ones of course you would have to have filters in each compartment... If your that tight on tank space what are you going to grow out the 1000's of baby angels and hatch the eggs that 3 pairs can produce in? Ianab
In a 3ft tank tank, I dont think it will work. One breeding pair would be OK. In a bigger tank, yes. 2 pair in a 6ft tank would probably co-exist. Each pair could set up a decent territory, in a 3ft tank they would be in each others faces all the time. alanmin4304
When I was breeding angels I kept each pair in a 12 gallon 24x12x12 inch bare tank and it worked well. I would think that would be about the territory they would defend and anything less will be a war zone.

smidey
it wont work, mine had an end to each pair & then would meet in the middle to scrap the return to their respective ends when they had had enough, it was pair against pair. I have already successfully breed this way, just thought I could save space.
Freakyfish
As said above a separate tank each will work the best though I have had results using a 3ft tanks dividing it down the middle with Egg Crate and fly screen over it to keep th fry separate I found with out the fly screen the fry would swim back and forth and they all got eaten by the parents Brad
