Fmxmatt
Some of mine are big enough to trade if you want some? Might be a mission finding them though, theres hundreds of snails from baby to massive, and you can't even find 1 during the day haha

Fmxmatt
OK so I'm back home again after 2 and a half weeks of being away, and last night assessed that i've got a number of snails the size of my little fingernail that can be traded/sold or whatever. Problem is catching them as they're only out at night. FYI, the parents of these little snails (which were this size when I got them) are now about as big as a $2 coin. Will they be ok if I caught them an hour or 2 after the lights are out, put them into a bag (with water of course) and left them floating in the tank overnight? Or is there a wee trick that'll catch them inside the tank during the night so I only have to put them into a bag in the morning? (something to do with a coke bottle?) As for what I want for them, I'm not too sure, but I'm going to be on the hunt shortly for some T5 lighting that I can borrow for my new tank while I save up for an MH Combo unit. Can you help out there at all Conch?
wilson
as long as you dont overstock the bag it will be ok
camnbron
If you had a sump you could just plonk them in there at lights out and then grab them out in the morning. But then, since your current setup has no sump (roll on upgrade!), I would suggest getting up early in the morning and grabbing some then. Or you could organise a CHCH reefkeepers meeting at your house for 1 evening. Then whoever wants some could pick them up before going after you have got some out. PARTY AT FMXMATTS HOUSE!!!! Fmxmatt
Oh well, if you still want some snails we can sort something out, whether it be now or later The 5ft tank might just have to look silly with the juwel T5's and T8's that I've currently got for a month, just hope nothing dies on me!. What else have ya got that I might want? I've gotta pop into the house of O tomorrow to pickup an additional heater for the new tank (starting to get bits and pieces together now so I dont have to later) so I'll try and get some snails into a bag tonight to bring with me if you want to meet there tomorrow? How many snails u want? (if you still want em?)
puttputt
what sort of snails, must be turbos are they as astreas are out all day. Turbos come out at night, and tend to just arrive with liverock and corals, and normally aren't bought and sold.
Fmxmatt
Yeah they're turbos Saw 1 laying eggs last night so I guess that means even more. Snail infestation anyone?
