David R
Meh, you're Asian, thats only a 4' tank. Disclaimer for those with-out a sense of humor: this is not a racist comment, I have plenty of asian friends who hassle each other about their height and ability to parallel park. Oi, I'm five foot zip, thank you very much, so it must be at least that long - and I can parallel park! Mind you when I applied for my passport, they did send a letter back asking me if I was sure I got the height bit right - '1.52m is only five foot?'... Grrrrrr..... David R
LOL! I'm sure your ornates (and the aro, when you get it) will love the new tank! What are the dimensions? Looks like about 6'x2'x2' to me.
Silvia-15
I'm sure your ornates (and the aro, when you get it) will love the new tank! What are the dimensions? Looks like about 6'x2'x2' to me. yeah, your completely right... i had a bigger one 8', but decided to down grade a tad. and get one with tinted back and sides. im putting in 3 ornates, 2 dats, snookies pink tail chalcus, prob a big eel (the ornates seems to like eating eels, theyve eaten 4 tire tracks) and hopefully a large catfish if i can find one, oh yeah, also got 2 big clown loaches and just so you know, im just shy of 180... so 178cm

Silvia-15
lol, i never wouldve guessed that a 12mm glass 6' would weigh so much, f*d myself up trying to move it, i had a few friend helping e move it, i guess we were all too proud to admit it was crazy heavy... i just cant wait for it to be up, show you guys some more pictures when the stand is made and the tank is up... David R
HFF have got some decent sized tyre tracks if you're looking for one thats big enough to not be eaten. Sounds like a good mix. What kind of stand are you putting it on? Filtration? I know what you mean about heavy, my 150x70x60 is 12mm and it weighs a ton!!
Silvia-15
because im poor now, im going to make a crude wooden stand out of those 2 by 4s, and im running a 150l sump, prob breed feeder guppies in there... im looking for a decent sized catfish as well, any ideas? not synos, nor mystus. i want one more of a rtc look.. so far ive only found chocolate talking cat. however, i dont think these get big enough in the long run... Luke*
Choc cats are cool and 30cm golden nuggets. What about a goldy or red spot pleco?
Silvia-15
cant find big gold nugget, only small ones, itll take god knows how many years for it to grow into a decent size... the ornatesll most likely try to eat it once they get big enough, then choke, then die... Luke*
My huge discus like the one in my avatar ate the tail off the first gold nugget I got.
Gannet
u still got the gold nugget tht i sold u?
David R
The chocolate cats get to about 15cm, but really fat, I think a large one should be OK with the ornates and aro, my big fat one is far too big for my 14" ornate to swallow. Sucks that we don't get many large cats over here, I'd give my left one for a tigrinus or irwini...
