danilada
I know its meant to be "easy" and have have asked Uncle Google many questions, but there are a few answers I can not find; 1. First are daily water changes to lower the temp useful? 2. What is a good "breeding" temperature? 3. How many caves should I have? 4. Does there colour appear more vivd when breeding? 5. Is is a bad sign when the Male wont let the female in the cave at all, and he defiantly does NOT have any-thing in there (i.e eggs)
danilada
1. Yes. 2. Normal Tropical Temp. 3. 1 is fine if you have 1 pair. Have hiding spots thou for the female so she will not get harrassed too much by the male. 4. Hell yes. 5. No, protecting his area. Males get snotty sometimes. They also may never breed too if he keeps doing it. HTH. 1, doing water changes daily 2, temp is 26' normally, drops to 25'. 3, they are a pair, as he sulks when she aint around 4, colour is real VIVID 5, shes is aloud in some-times but not often, they chase in circles then he hides again, flirting? danilada
The other pair I have just seem to "chill" in there cave. Both pairs aren't eaten a heck of a lot either.
Adrienne
I found a good feed of bloodworms and a decent water change with cold water always resulted in a spawn.
mumzy50
Hi its Mitzys mum here,They need to settle in a week at less. Dont give to many choices of caves, they are greedy and will claim the lot.the temperture around 24 to 26.My pair hated each other, and would not share caves now together. They fought for about six weeks, now they in love.I would be watching them at feeding time,as they are pigs, might need time to settle in.Just doing the normal water change will do it.Hope that helps.Good luck
