Discusguru
You'll probably end up with 1 ltr of water after cutting off the base so you can turn it upside down to hatch brine shrimp. Best using sea water for better hatch rate and convenience. If not 1 table spoon will do. ron

caserole
The general rule of thumb when hatching B/S is .... For every lt of water add 2 tablespoons of non iodised salt ( if you can get clean sea water easily, it's more convenient ) and no more then 1 teaspoon of B/S cyts. alanmin4304
If using salt I add a pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) as well

Devon
When I was hatching bbs i set up a tank, set it to around 26-28oc, can't remember, and just floated bottles containing the egg+salt. Alot easier this way if trying to procude a constant supply of livefood.
Luke*
hi there just a lil info re baking soda.. some time ago when i researched brine shrimp extensively i found evidence that pH does not affect hatch rate or lifespan of the brine shrimp. save it for your scones instead
