EGG EATING DISCUS

for years I have wanted to breed some discus..now have a beautifull pair of red turg who have spawned 4 times on a plastic tube left for them...BUT they eat the eggs by the 3rd or 4th day.... any help would be appriciated ...thanks

How about taking the plastic tube out as soon as the eggs appear and replacing it with a clean one ready for the next batch?

Baby Discus eat slime off their parent's flanks or something, so the babies would have to go back in with the parents as soon as they hatch.

Of course, a Discus expert may be a better person to get advice from, but that is what I would try.

Put a cone in for them to lay the eggs on and cage the cone after they're done with a wire netting so they can't get to the eggs BUT can still see them and fan them.

there isnt much you can do but try and cover the eggs with a mesh but they might end up eating the fry....its really up to the parents to look after them

Feed the parents more. Most egg eaters are under-fed.

have 'new ' setup with cone and mesh waiting...watch thie space...
