Leaving on vacation

I am leaving on a short vacation for just about a week. I have been feeding my fish on a regular basis so I am not so concerned about them, but I am concerned about my plants. I keep my aquarium lights on about 10-12 hours a day and I don't know how my plants will do with no light? How do you monitor the light while away from home?

Been using the same analogue ones for years... ;)

Interesting to know the price of the digital ones is so low now (all hail the almighty mr bunnings!).

I would be interested to get a 7-day one. Would be great to have the lights on longer in the weekends and shorter during the week (I don't have plants).

Hmm interesting idea. I had kinda thought about it, but don't want the fish to get used to not having the lights on as it might make them less comfortable/more shy when the lights are on.

Saber what kind of fish do you have? Most healthy fish will be fine for a week without food.

Mr Bunnings is fine, but try the Warehouse, where everyone gets a bargain. They have some nice digital ones with up to ten programmes on them for about eight bucks, which are the ones I use.
