georgeous
I bought a spray bottle from Payless Plastics for like $3 for my frogs... It may not be a good option for some though...
VinsonMassif
What kind of newts? Don't they have water to go into?
spoon
u can get mist systems 4 greenhouses but on a smaller scale they are expensive tho try searching DIY misters, i have an ultrasonic fogger it makes a super fine mist over the water , makes the tank quite humid, needs bout 5cm of water to work , also u need to hide them so critters dont walk over them a pile of large flat rocks would be ok, another thing is that they heat up the water really quick i donty know much bout newts but if they are sensitive to temp like axies i wouldnt reccomd it unless u have min 15l water in there, u can put it on a timer to come on 4 15mins every hr this way the temp doesnt rise too much
DantezGirl
they are japanese fire belly newts they like cool water and shallow water as they have just morphed i have two of them there is only one morph with the other still aquatic for now and noticed that the morph would get dry when on the dry surfaces so wanted to get a mister i have some weed that i use to cover a large rock that stays damp so the newt hangs out on there were it can be damp but still out of the water i plan to do a half land half water setup soon so would need to keep the soil ect moist may look into the spray bottle thing

livingart
i don't mist our newts just fitted lids on tank once they become terrestrial they can climb very well and use their damp bodies to stick to the glass
DantezGirl
yip mine has tried to climb out once i have read if there climbing is excessive then the ground is to wet or there is a problem with an excessive amount of live bugs distressing them and even them micro bug thing that can be in the soil in huge numbers or not enough hiding space so i have made sure that there is a piece of driftwood connected to the large rock with damp weed on it so it can get of if it wants to but so far prefers the damp weed rock to the dry driftwood go figure i also have a glass lid but i want one that is half glass to keep in moisture half mesh to keep in the newts made up for me but may have to attempt it myself should be interesting
