Adrienne
On some internet sites it says that killies are suitable tankmates for discus, in particular it lists the gardneri (sp?). What do you think about it, is it possible or would they be too small (or in my case likely to end up in the sump overflow, going in the grill) and likely to be eaten by the discus. What about the temp of the tank? I haven't really seen live killies and only know what I've read on here about them.
alanmin4304
I wouldn't believe everthing you find on the internet. Contrary to popular belief Mrs Google is not God's Mother in Law. Killies prefer lower temperatures and discus higher temperatures. I wouldn't put them together. I put male killies in a well planted community tank with some snail and algae eaters and they do well at about 22-23 deg C. (and so do the plants). I would want to keep discus warmer than that. Adrienne
Thanks, thats why I asked on here. I'm too old to believe everything I read, would rather rely on others opinions and experiences.
