Caryl
Anyone know a good place in ChCh to get a tank repaired? Son's 3ft just cracked up the centre back panel so needs to replace it. They have spent their day hurredly throwing fish into a spare tank and drying out carpets etc. Does Tim do repairs? (Inside Oceans)
michael.qian
I think tanks are pretty cheap these days might be easier just to buy a new 3ft tank?

Caryl
There isn't much difference between repair and replace. He is taking the tank over today so will decide after discussion with Tim.
alanmin4304
Although it can be a pain in the butt repairing tanks sometimes it can also be a pain getting rid of a broken tank as they don't fit wel into a rubbish bag.

Caryl
They are going to put it on that well known auction site as is where is. Someone might want the glass from the other sides. Tim will build them another tank. He thinks the tank should have had more bracing to start with. They will also take the opportunity to get an electrician in to add more powerpoints as they have cords running all over the place to reach the tank. SparkyNat
While the electrican is doing the power points get them to put in an rcd while they are at it. Water and electricity dont go so well together.
