well idont know if this is real bad or not!!

i was holding my frog and my brother almost smashed my door own :o

the frog paniched and jumped :(

and landed in a small container of water --- salt water from my marine tank

it quickly jumped out and so i picked it up and sat it in fresh water hopeing to get off any salt

is this going to hurt the frog? it seems fine now :-?

your babies are not long for this planet if thats the case.Just remember you are dealing with a small delicate living thing. They have really sensitive skins and when they are that small handling is not only unnecessary but in my opinion plain stupid. As far as the salt frog all you can do is rinse him quickly as you did and see what happens?

frogs have permeable skins as you know and cannot tolerate saltwater. HOWEVER if he landed in the tank and you scooped him straight back out as you obviously did, and then stuck him in freshwater to rinse him off he SHOULD be fine (hopefully).

Also I agree no need to be handling small frogs -- or indeed any frogs of any size. Frogs do not like being handled and do not become tame in the way a dragon or blue-tongue might. Best to leave them in their tank. (And yes I know I'm going to get lots of people telling me their frogs LOVE being handled etc etc).
