No I do not want to use it for power backup situations. I have looked at some crappy ones that run on 4xAA batteries and they are so noisey. :-? I am looking at using one with a restrictor to low pressurise the headlights on my 4X4 to prevent water ingress. 8) Because it will be mounted in the front dash area it has to be quiet in operation, just like the 240VAC Stellar ones that are commonly used.
