danilada
Have tried searching through the FNZAS search bar, but haven't found exactly what im looking for. I have a 320L tank that I am about to set up. I have a well established Fluval 304. I am transplanting my 140L community tank into the 320L. What are my best options. This will have new (clean) gravel as the 140L gravel isnt a option. Is 50% water from the 140L plus the fluval enough to cycle it? Also how long before I can add plants and fish? Community fish are, angels, loaches, brisltes, corys, neons etc etc
BK
You can swap every thing over now. Your current filter is doing the job the only difference is the outside walls have changed (forget the stones use sand).
danilada
Thanks BK, I though that was the case, but wanted to ask
Wok
yeah.. No need to cycle. 50% of old water and old filter and you are away. :bounce:

Guest
My version of cycling is Step 1 Put gravel and water in tank Step 2 Arange plants and orneaments wood etc as you want them to look Step 3 Add two or three fish to the tank if they last a couple of days add the rest of your fish over a few weeks Step 4 Sit back and enjoy
paul_r
dont tell my killies that... lol They have no filter and just get water from the tap and it gets changed once the sand starts looking yucky lol Infact only 2 out of my 15 tanks have filters
