Foxglove
Hi, I have my new tank on order - 300 litres, 86cm long x50 deep x 66 high - bow front. No stand as yet, but I will see what hammerlock can do... I don't want it very tall, as the tank is too tall as is - gonna need an arm extension! I'm also checking out building a wooden stand - but cost is a huge factor. Any suggestions for fish combinations ? I like like the idea of at least two different species (or colours) in the tank.
cichlid7
think you've got trouble ive just setup a 600L Malawi tank 1.2m x .75m x .75m and its on a .90m high stand.

firenzenz
That cobalt , electric yellow combo is real nice eh!
ryanjury
Agreed with demasoni cant beat the colour of them... Especially when contrasted against yellows.. Demasoni cobalts and some nice yellow's would also be cool
Afrikan
Depends if you want to stick with just mbuna The combos above are nice... especially Dems and Yellows, or Dems and Snow Whites... have kept those combos for display in the past. A couple of nice peacock males would look wicked amongst the lot above... Oh and careful if you do Snow Whites with Dems as they will try to cross breed... Foxglove
Thanks all - I love dems to look at :bounce: :bounce: so would be happy to get them, yellows and a couple of peacock males. Yeah I like all the rift lake fish - was even thinking of a Lake Tang tank with daffodils and julidochromis or something, but the dems seem to be winning my heart. I should do a tank crawl and see what everyone else has... 8)

I'll give him to you if you want him, he's about 15cm and fully grown, so should be ok in your tank... I think they are good to have cause they do a good job of cleaning up extra food! let me know

Foxglove
Wow? Thanks both of you for your kind offers. I'm tempted. What type of syno is s/he? Planetcatfish has well over 20 species listed. corr, a whole lot more research!  But until I choose the other fish (not to mention actually get the tank/substrate ect!) I don't want to say yes. I was wondering about a cleaner-upper, but was thinking bristlenose. Fishy, can I come see your fish sometime soon? I remember your cool corner tank set-up.
