Caryl
Conference has been very interesting so far. I have met a couple of people from The Fishroom too We went on a mystery bus trip today and visited a winery, a British Car Museum, lunched by the gannet colony and ended up at HB Aquaculture where they are breeding seahorses (about 60,000 of them), paua (abalone for you non kiwis), brine shrimp (to feed the seahorses) and crayfish (rock lobster). This evening we are off to tour the new HB Aquarium. Tomorrow Grant and I head for a week in Mt Maunganui so hope to visit Living Waters there and meet Fee in her shop in Tirau. Bye from conference for now as our taxi will be here shortly. In 2004 it has been suggested conference be held in Vanuatu. All are keen so any FNZAS members interested had better make sure they have a passport and start saving now!
cees
tell me more :-) Those of you who where at the conference, what happened. And can someone send me an updated list of the executive. Some data on this site will now be out of date.
ajbroome
Cees said... > tell me more You should've been there Cees There was some positive comments on the FNZAS web presence and especially The Fishroom. A couple of screen-dumps were included in with the Agenda etc so all attendees should know this place exists now. And, apparently, it's mentioned in the latest Aquarium World but I haven't seen mine yet... > Those of you who where at the conference, what > happened. The Exec is mostly the same so there shouldn't be too many drastic changes to make. Of course Kelly Rennell is no longer Treasurer, that job being taken over by Warren I understand. As for the unofficial version, it was all good fun - as usual - with several regulars here attending. I know I had a good time... ;-) Looking forward to Blenheim in 2003. Andrew.
