livingart
bringing them up together can help but general rule of thumb is males can be agressive to each other and hassle females when in breeding mode

repto
have seen and heard of all sorts of dominance issues with tankmates of all combinations. Also seen a male and female growen up together in a large tank(1.5m) with dual basking/feeding sites with no probs.I would say size is the(tank)they have to have somewhere to call there own and be able to get adequate food. One day you will look in and see one huge one and one small one, maybe the small one will also only have 3 legs?
