ctsniper86
My tank used to have a lot of open bottom space, but i rescaped it and made it into a moderately dense planted tank, there is little patches of open gravel between the plant base's. I'm running an UGF on it and am wanting to do a clean to keep things nice and healthy. How would i do a gravel vac without disturbing my plants, or is it not needed? alanmin4304
I grow my plants on sand and just lightly vac the surface when the gunge gets excessive. The plants need food and wont thank you if you get all clean clean and take all their food away.
Caryl
I vac as close to the plants as I can without disturbing them then hold the vac over top of them as low as possible to get surface gunge out.
