reef
The tubeastrea are easy to keep if you can feed them. so they do very well in a specialised tank. I have seen zoos overseas that have them and they grow all over the wall, I think one of the CORAL magazines has a good article on them. wasp
Well here is a night time pic of my brain coral with all it's tentacles out hoping to catch a passing pod! A pretty green polyped acro A pretty acro, this one nearly died when I moved tanks, just saved a few tiny bits but at last is coming back to it's former glory And some easy care but pretty softies
davidb
love the green polyped acro... how much would I have to pay to get a little frag of that
wasp
I'm breaking a couple of "little frags" off it any time soon as it's getting too close to another coral. You passing any time soon? (They will be little though)
davidb
I don't mind about size. I can make a trip up there as I need to go see Jetski to get some stuff too... Maybe a couple of weeks time... That yellow Acro I'm giving you when I am selling my tank is still growing well BTW
wasp
OK let me know when you'll be in the area. Probably can't wait 2 weeks to prune it so I'll go ahead & mount the piece. Don't get dissapointed when you see it the branches are only matchstick thick and it won't be a big frag.

djsurfs
Oh wow folks, those are beatiful corals and excellent pics! Here is my pathetic contribution  ... I need to work on photog skills! My little tubeastrea, lovingly nurtured from a few teensy polyps to a fat 2-3 dozen now.
puttputt
Hey DJ, where abouts in northland are you, there is a couple of us up here
markoshark
Is that cyanobacteria I see in the background? Pretty red slime. Which is the reason my sun coral died, just couldn't get it to feed, and it was polluting my tank with excess nutrients (
wilson
is that a seahorse in the pic just behing your yellow coral
