I have two smallish twin spotted loaches(similars to clown loaches but smaller and plainer in colour with a spot by the gills on each side and a again before the tail..I have the tablets for bottom feeders but how often should I give them one or half a tablet if thats logical.Thanks.

Hmm, I did a quick search for loaches you described but couldn't come up with anything.

Have a look at http://www.loaches.com/species-index/pi ... e-pictures see if you can find your loaches there (thats if you haven't already!)

I love loaches, would be interested to know what kind you have as I've never seen anything like what you described before.

I spent some time very patiently trying to take a half decent photo of them(yet to edit them).Very shy they seem to be when you approach.I managed to take a closer look and the front dark spots are around the eyes, the dorsal fin has a dark spot either side as does the tail. They are of the lower bodied light coloured variety.I must go back to hollywood fishfarm and try to find out more for curiosity sake. Thanks Dave.

They are a nice little cory, great for a community tank.

They are best kept in groups, maybe 4 or more, but they only grow small (5cm) so you can keep a bunch of them.

They will scavange a lot of food out of the gravel that other fish miss, but it's best to drop them a sinking pellet or 2 from time to time. Drop them in the same place each time, then you can make sure they are eating them. If they take a while to clean them up, then cut back on the feeding, if they mob them and eat them all, give them a extra one.

Cheers

Ian
