tHEcONCH
So, as a very general rule SPS like the tank to be as clean as possible, and softies less so?
reef
Yes, acros like clean tanks and soft coral like a little bit of nutrients, this does not mean a polluted tank. My xenia/leathers just don’t grow when my tank is ultra clean.
JoeBlog
In my RSM, the xenia grew like MAD. When I tore down the RSM, I put a fairly big piece in my main tank (SPS dominant). It withered away to nothing in a week or two, almost like it was never there.

JoeBlog
So, I've 'traded a few of my corals back to the LFS to make room for some different ones... Hmmm... You had some really nice ones in there. I may have to run down to John's to see what he's got!!
tHEcONCH
There are a few 'in storage' at the back of the tank, so there may be more to come.

tHEcONCH
As soon as I've managed to get a few little populations going in other parts of the tank, the originals will be going back for sale 'on behalf', so keep an eye out... tHEcONCH
There will be all sorts - there are some nice 'flowey' green tentacled zoos down there at the moment - ask John to break off a frag (let me know how much you pay )
wilson
how much do you think a frag will be?
tHEcONCH
It just depends on how much you want - the big blob of wavy zoos with sponge etc is $89.95 - if you want half, you pay half, etc. I think you should buy the whole thing because it looks cool, and it is also a giant biofilter with that big commenal sponge.
