Doug.l
How do i get rid of all my snails, they seem to be every where now. Use to have a skunk loach but it was eating my little fish so got rid of it. What now ???? Have a AR-620, from Aqua One.
alanmin4304
You can use snail rid but the active ingredient is copper sulphate which can be deadly on some fish. Ifyou have a spare tank you could put the fish in there until you get rid of the snails (and CuSO4) How many excuses do you need to get another tank? editkid
How many excuses do you need to get another tank? Haha, you guys are funny with your MTS. I say that, knowing that I secretly dream of many, huge tanks...
firespook
I picked a few out of mine (when it was first set up) and now I haven't seen any.
Ianab
You could get a couple of Zebra Loaches. They wont hassle your other fish, dont get too big, and will deal to most of your snails Cheers Ian
lollipop9
I have been trying to get rid of snails out of my 250 litre breeding tank for ages and now have more snails than fish. Would the loaches suggested eat baby bristlenose, baby guppies or baby platties?
Ianab
I think they would take out newborn fry for sure. Once the fry get a bit bigger, no problem. Cheers Ian
OscarBoy
why dont you get some clown loaches? i put them in my tank when i had snails then never saw them again
Ianab
Clown loaches are the best snail eaters there are, but they just get so big. I'd love to get some, but a mob of 6" clowns would max out my tank and leave no room for my plecos When I get a bigger tank though 8) Cheers Ian
OscarBoy
yea but the clown loaches take so long to grow
