danilada Posted September 4, 2007 Report Share Posted September 4, 2007 Just got a Fluval 204 (does work, as witnessed when purchased, as its second hand) any-way its meant to be silent but it now makes a rattle when I turn it on, it didn't come with instructions so im hoping some-one can help. Chazza404 Posted September 5, 2007 Report Share Posted September 5, 2007 theres also a small plunger like lever which u can pull and push back in, by doing this over and over it flushes air out of the filter; i found that when i had the rattling noise by doing this a few times so that the air is pushed out with the water through the filter it'll sort itself out air pumper thingy - below its the blue thing ontop left beside the in/out takes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jim r Posted September 5, 2007 Report Share Posted September 5, 2007 My Fluvals sometimes make an unearthly sound which is caused by the impeller being unseated, it is easily replaced by removing the top and checking the clips which keep the impeller in place.
