Aaron-Betta
Do bristlenoses change to a patchy colouration when stresses or ill? Just wondering as I saw that one of our males is all blotchy. Could it be that he feels threatened by the other male in the tank?
Ianab
Possibly. Many plecos change colour seeming at random. Sometimes it's stress related, sometimes they may try and camoflage themselves, other times, I have no idea. Just keep an eye on him, make sure he's not sick or getting beaten up, but he's probably OK. Cheers Ian
Dixon1990
My pair of BN used to go patchy when they were eating or chasing each other round now they are patchy all the time.
Caryl
Sometimes one or more of mine is patchy and other times not  Doesn't seem to be related to anything as far as I can see
