IOU1
What internal filters do you guys on this forum suggest? I am looking for an 100L tank for a bedroom so preferably quiet filters... Anyone have any bad/good experiences with particular types? Thanks for your help :bounce:
sub.z
Ive got a fluval 204 on a roughly 100L tank and is great. Also have a fluval on my 400L tank. Find them very quiet and easy to use
Caryl
But a 204 is an external filter isn't it? IOU1 wants an internal. I have several Shark filters and find they work well. All internals ought to be soundless if you site them well.
IOU1
Yeah, I do have an external at the moment but as there won't be many fish in the tank and they will only be tetras there is no need for such a powerful filter (I think its actually a fluval 204). My eheim one I have on another tank is quite noisy because of its air diffusor thats attatched. Thanks for the suggestions, do they still have sharks filters stocked in pet shops, haven't seen thema round for a while.
sub.z
Ahh thanks caryl I like the elite stingray filters, there also very quiet
HummingBird
I'm a fan of the Eheim pickup models (2008 & 2010), I've got four of them and they're quiet, efficient and easy to clean.
smidey
i had a shark internal & found it to be quite good. when i loaded that tank up with africans i used a cf1000. it was silent & did an amazing job. i like the cf1000 as it is very well priced, has been extremely reliable & has great filtration. Adrienne
I've run a fluval 4+ for several years and seems to do a good job. Has an indicator at the top which lets you know when the filter is clogged although the slowed water flow lets you know anyway.

snookie
Eheim Aquaball http://www.petplanet.co.nz/shopping/pgm ... d=174&=SID
IOU1
All the choices I find the eheim pickup filters quite noisy, but maybe its just in need of a clean or something. I'll note all these filters and go and see what are stocked. Thanks for your help
Caryl
The Shark models seem to go on special a lot at Animates. That's when I tend to buy them.
