reef
why won' they bring in the other foods, is so frustrating We have so many fish foods on the market that bringing in more is not worth it. Pointless bringing in stocks and having it sit in a warehouse. I had a look at Hollywoods the other day and i was surprised how many fish foods we have, Must be hard for wholesalers to bring in new products if they can’t sell it in large quantities, Most fish keepers won’t spend the money and like to go cheap. Hikari is a good product but expensive.
David R
I got a bag of sinking carnivore pellets from HFF when I picked up my ornates. They're good for smaller fish, but my big ornate wouldn't even notice them, they need to do an XXL version!
candy
I know how you feel regarding the sinking Carnivore pellet. We used to feed them to our bichir who loved the things but sadly they are no longer brought in to nz. I can recomend the sinking catfish pellets ( little white tub). Our bichir likes them and so does our knife fish. Bit more expensive but worth a go!
markoshark
Sera vipachips - I handfeed these to my oscar (seems to like them) My bichirs like to grab one, and eat them, BGK eats them also (but he also eats colourbits and flake.....), its funny watching the Bichirs eating them, its like they have a giant cookie
Guest Anonymous
Thankyou for the advise i know whole salers have problems knowing what to get in but if someone is asking then, they should be able to say yes we can get it, but you have to order so many of the item. then you could at least find some others people who want them as well if needed and get them here . rather than just owells we don't stop it yes there are lots other product they like and thanks for the suggestions, but i want the hikari ones and it looks like others do as well, so i will have to see if Hikari respond to my e-mail :bounce:
Tui
Petplanet are selling Hikari http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/hikari ... 23097.html
Guest Anonymous
Maybe people think they are, but the likes of Hirkai and others are not expensive. they might look that way on the shelf, but when you sit down and work out how long it takes to get threw the food, then you find they are not expensive But then what are your fish worth to you. watching then grow, breed, sitting down end day and relaxing watching them
Caryl
I believe many shops have a deal with particular brands who give them good deals if they only stock their products and it is very hard to get other products into shops for this reason. Caryl
When you have problems like this it always pays to go right to the top. They do not like to hear of customers having trouble buying their products.
evilknieval69
Just stating that my Bichir loves shrimp pellets. i always chuck two or three into the tank and he goes and hunts them out and takes them 'out back' to swallow them whole! He also digs through the sand after colourbits when hes bored too
