Slightly Blue Dalmation
uhh not sure, has big stalks and then long swordy leaves
alanmin4304
See if new leaves are growing. If they are it wont matter---just remove the dead ones when there are enough leaves to support it. Both swords and crypts may rest a while when transplanted.
michael.qian
lack of nutrients? are there new leaves, if there are don't worry about it, remove the transparent ones. What's your lighting and do you use any fertilizers?

Alan
It's crypt affinis if my memory serves me right, and one that wont grow emmersed, not in my attemts anyway. Definitely fades away with that treatment, but should have enough guts in the rhizome to start again. Keep the light hi to get that red under the leaf too. Caryl
I used to have so much of it the fish couldn't swim, they had to climb over the plants! We stripped the tank and replanted some and they all packed a sad and died off. Months later, they started coming up again. :-?
Slightly Blue Dalmation
itl be interesting to see what happens, if they die off il just replace it with something less tempromental
alanmin4304
I think Alan is correct. It is called crypt rot. Take off the dead stuff so it does not increase the nutrient and cause algae problems. It will grow again OK. C. affinis is one of the more hardy Cryptocoryne. Many references suggest cutting the leaves off crypts when relocating them.
