fievels007
Hi everyone, I thought that after we had bought our two dwarf loaches that the snail problem had evened out, but recently our little boys seems to be a bit lazy! The snails are back with a vengance! Any ways to reduce these fellas again without using any chemicals?! Have managed to go 6 months with our tank with out only fatality being a neon, so would like to keep it that way! Once tried a bit of lettuse on a string, but that didn't work at all! Just looked daft! HELP please HELP! The snails look untidy in the tank, from a distance they look like brown poop on the tank floor!
HaNs
Put some veges in a cup or similar container and wait until they climb in, then remove them and do what you want with them
jayci
Talk to Milet. He is always wanting snails

fievels007
Our tank is only about 60litres. Clown loaches and bala sharks would get too big. Thats why I hoped dwarf loaches would be a great solutions, but they need to do more to pay the rent or they will end up sunbathing on the verandah! (just joking btw!) sharn
Perhaps they could be feeling a little uncomfortable in a small group and not wanting to go snail hunting too much?
jim r
If you buy little bala sharks it is a good excuse to buy a bigger tank.
Wok
get clown loaches. they grow quite slowly so your tank would be fine for a couple years at least.. unless you really have that many snails
Dixon1990
a cup on its side with a plecotab or 2.... Then send them to milet...
bdspider
I'd say get a few more chain loaches. I have four who rid my tank of snails. They are real gluttons. You'd be better off having a large group of 1 species than having 2 chains, 2 clowns or whatever.
